Ventura County Rental Market

Leased Chart
Units Leased by City

The Ventura County Rental Housing  market has been relatively stable this year. Rents have stayed in a tight range. Supply has dropped off dramatically since Jan 2010.  In 2009,Ventura County had on avg. 700 units available at any one time.  May of 2010 saw supply drop to just over 500 units. This may leave a lot of prospective tenants out in the cold as they search for suitable housing. The trend of poor credit quality applicants has continued throughout the year as people continue to struggle through the recession.  Landlords are having to adjust their guidelines to accomodate the ever growing supply of low 500 credit scores.
