The city is bordered by the Santa Monica Mountains on the south, Camarillo on the West ,and Thousand Oaks to the east. Once you drive past Lynn rd heading north on the 101 freeway you have entered NP, as locals call it. Newbury Park has a mild climate and is often 3-5 degrees cooler than thousand Oaks and other cities that lie to the east.
